Notes From The DC

We are looking forward to a great year! I am so excited, we have wonderful things planned. I want to encourage everyone to look forward to the year in a positive light. It is a hard time for all of us, economically, so I encourage everyone to consider carpooling, horse-pooling, and utilizing the website, email, & each other to share resources.

We have a wonderful group of members this year. I'm so proud of them all. They are polite, considerate, & positive! As Lynn did last year, I will use this section of the website to deliver various information to you all on a more personal level. News will still be posted under "NEWS."

An important topic was brought up at a meeting regarding horse rescues. It is a tragedy I think we'll see more of this year - unfortunately. Lynn has worked with rescue leagues in NC in the past and have seen first hand the sorrow that surrounds these poor animals who are left unfed & uncared for. Please be thinking of ways we can help. A service project, donation, or something similar would be wonderful. Just be gathering ideas & we'll discuss at a regular meeting.
